Nail care

Found this, it's a great share

Nail Care

We noticed that many customers complain about their nails, they don’t grow! Or.. they are yellowish! Or… they chip too easily. Well if you want strong healthy looking nails you have to take care from the inside out, first your diet has to be rich in Vitamins A, B-Complex, C, D, E and iron, calcium, zinc, sulfur, and fatty acids. Second thing to do is soak your nails in many substances that will help you grow your nails nice healthy and long.

Nail Soaks

1- Stain Remover Soak
If you have yellowish or stained nails then apply Hydrogen Peroxide to cotton balls then let sit on the nail beds for 3-5 minutes or until stains are removed. Rinse well, and then apply good cuticle oil. Hydrogen peroxide can be drying so please do not use this method more than once per week.
2- Whitener Soak
Mix 4 tbsp of lemon juice and 3 tbsp of water in a glass or ceramic bowl. Soak your nails for 10 - 15 minutes or until the stains are removed. Rinse well, and then apply good cuticle oil. Lemon juice is great natural bleach for getting yellow stains out!

3- Weak Brittle Soak
Mix 2 egg yolks with ¼ cup of milk and 1 tbsp of honey. Soak your nails for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse well, and then apply good cuticle oil. Protein from the eggs and calcium from the milk will make those nails hard as rocks!
4- Peeling nails Soak
Soak your nails in ½ a cup of garlic oil for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse well, and then apply good cuticle oil. Use this nail soak twice a week for strong nails

Strengthening Nail Soaks
1- Iodine Soak
Iodine cures brittle and weak finger nails. It makes the fingernails hard, chip proof and unbreakable. Dip your fingernails in colorless iodine once a day for 1 week; then once every 2 weeks; then once a month. It dries almost instantly. It begins hardening the nails under the cuticle and as the nail grows out it stays hard and unbreakable.

2- Egg Soak
Mix 2 egg yolks with 1 tbsp of olive oil. Soak your nails for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse well, and then apply good cuticle oil. Use this nail soak twice a week for strong nails.
3- Milk Soak
Soak your nails in milk for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse well, and then apply good cuticle oil. Use this nail soak twice a week for strong nails

4- Vinegar Soak
Soak your nails in ½ a cup of apple vinegar and 2 tbsp of olive oil for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse well, and then apply good cuticle oil. Use this nail soak twice a week for strong nails

5- Honey, Eggs and Milk Soak
Mix 1 tbsp of honey with 2 beaten egg yolks and finally ¼ cup of milk. Soak your nails in the mixture for 10 - 15 minutes; wash your hands with warm water. The different antioxidant agents will heal the damages and provide the nails with the perfect care. The calcium from the milk as well as the protein from the eggs will strengthen the nails making them resistant to any deterioration.

6- Salt, Castor & Wheat germ Oils Soak
Mix 2 tsp of salt with 2 tsp of castor oil and finally 1 tsp of wheat germ oil. Pour into a bottle and shake well before each use. Rub a small amount of the mixture on your nails. Leave it on for 3 - 5 minutes then wipe it off. Store in a cool dark place. Use daily.

Faster Growing Nail Soaks
1- Orange Soak
Soak the nails for at least 10 - 15 minutes, then rinse. Orange juice contains folic acid which is great for hair and nail growth.

2- Tomato Juice (Biotin) Soak
Mix 2 tbsp of olive oil with ½ cup of tomato juice. Soak the nails for at least 10 - 15 minutes, then rinse. Recommended twice a week. Tomatoes are excellent sources of biotin, which has been known to promote hair and nail growth.

3- Olive Oil Soak
Soak in extra virgin olive oil 10-15 minutes a day, for a month. Then twice a week thereafter. This will help to fortify damaged, weak or peeling nails.

4- Honey, Coconut Oil and Rosemary Oil Soak
Mix ¼ a cup of organic honey with ¼ cup of coconut oil and add 4 drops of essential rosemary oil. Warm up in the microwave for 20 seconds. Soak your nails for 15 minutes then rinse in warm water. Repeat twice a week.

Extra Nail strengthening tips

•Always file the nails in a single direction as the back and forth movement of the filer can lead to nail damage.
•Before filing, make sure that the nails are dry. Wet nails are more likely to get split on filing.
•If the nails have not grown properly, do not file them. File only when the tip of the nail had grown a quarter inch from the nail bed (skin beneath the nail plate).
•To prevent nail breakage, shape your nails in squares or ovals.
•Once you are done with filing your nails, it's important to wash and moisturize them well.
•Rub Castor oil into nails & cuticles every night before bed to reduce cracking & breaking

Hope you benefit from these easy yet proven soaks
